Chinese Abstract

Objective: To explore the influences of taurine on the changes of ATP ases activity induced by cisplatin in renal medulla of mice. Methods: 40 mice were randomly divided into four groups such as control group, CDDP group, Tau 200 group and Tau 400 group, and the tissue of renal medulla was isolated and the activities of Na(superscript +), K(superscript +)-ATPase, Ca(superscript 2+)-ATPase and Mg(superscript 2+)-ATPase were assayed by biochemistry. Results: The activities of Na(superscript +), K(superscript +)-ATPase, Ca(superscript 2+)-ATPase and Mg(superscript 2+)-ATPase were significantly decreased in CDDP group, Tau 200 group and Tau 400 group when comparing with control group(P<0.01), the activities of Na(superscript +), K(superscript +)-ATPase and Ca(superscript 2+)-ATPase in Tau 200 group and Tau 400 group were higher than it in CDDP group(P<0.01 or P<0.05), but the activities of Mg(superscript 2+)-ATPase in Tau 200 group and Tau 400 group were no different when comparing with CDDP group(P>0.05). Conclusion: Taurine might have the preventive effect on cisplatin induced-nephrotoxicity by obviously increasing the activities of Na(superscript +), K(superscript +)-ATPase and Ca(superscript 2+)-ATPase in renal medulla tissue of mice.
