以4'-正烷氧基聯苯-4-甲酸和順(反)-4-4'-雙(4-羥基苯基偶氮)二苯並-14-冠-4為中間體,通過溶液縮合反應,合成了一系列偶氮型液晶冠醚。並用元素分析、核磁共振、紫外可見分光光度計、紅外光譜、基質輔助激光解析電離飛行時間質譜、示差掃描量熱法和偏光顯微鏡對其進行了表徵。隨分子末端烷氧基碳原子數增加,化合物4Ⅰ和4Ⅱ的熔點(T(下標 m))和液晶態的清亮點(T(下標 i))逐漸降低,液晶態溫度範圍較寬。

English Abstract

A series of azo type liquid crystalline crown ethers were synthesized using the intermediates of 4'-n-alkoxylbiphenyl-4-carboxylic acids and cis (trans)-4,4'-bis (4-hydroxyphenylazo) dibenzo-14-crown-4. Their structures and properties were characterized by elemental analysis, 1H NMR, UV-Vis, IR, MALDI-TOF-MS, DSC and polarizing optical microscopy with a heating stage. For compounds 4Ⅰ and 4Ⅱ, both melting point T(subscript m) and isotropization temperature T(subscript i) were decreased with the increase of the carbon numbers of the end alkoxy groups. However, the temperature range of liquid crystal phase was relatively wide.
