Chinese Abstract

Objective To investigate the cause of cystitis glandularis. Methods 23 patients with cystitis glandularis were enrolled in the test group and 23 healthy persons who had the same sex and similar age matched with the test group were enrolled in the control group. The telomere length of peripheral blood lymphocytes was measured with fluorescence in situ hybridization and flow cytometry in these two groups. Results Q-FISH value was 0.09±0.02 and 0.07±0.02 respectively in test group and control group. The difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P<0.01). Conclusions The telomere length of peripheral blood lymphocytes in the patients with cystitis glandularis was longer than that in the healthy persons. So we may deduce that more activated telomerase exists in the patients with cystitis glandularis.
