本文主要目的是比較中央大學地面光達(NCU-Lidar)和衛星籌載光達(CALIPSO)2006-2008年對氣膠(Aerosol)與雲的垂直分佈之同步觀測結果,用以瞭解地面光達與衛星籌載光達量測之差異性,作爲日後分析衛星籌載光達資料之依據。並利用地面太陽光度計(sun-photometer)和衛星籌載光達資料推導出氣膠之消光背向散射比(extinction-to-backscatter ratio/Lidar ratio)值,此值的取得將有助於降低光達資料用於反演氣膠光學厚度(aerosol optical depth)值時的不確定性。並將此氣膠消光背向散射比和光學厚度結果與中大光達長期(2002-2005)對氣膠之觀測結果比較。
This paper presents the inter-comparison of vertical profiles of aerosol and cloud, derived from space-borne (CALIPSO) and ground-based (NCU-Lidar) instruments. A method to retrieve extinction-to-backscatter ratio (Lidar ratio) of aerosol by using Sun-photometer and CALIPSO data is also documented. The derived Lidar ratio and aerosol optical depth (AOD) are also compared with the long term observations (2002-2005) from NCU-Lidar. The results are helpful to reduce the uncertainty of AOD derived from lidar methodology and also give new insight in improving algorithms for CALIPSO data products.
