市售常用中藥濃縮製劑之稀醇抽提物及水抽提物含量調查
Survey on the Dilute Ethanol-Soluble Extract Content and Water-Soluble Extract Content of Extract Preparation of Chinese Herbal Medicine on Market

Dilute ethanol-Soluble extract content and water soluble extract content of 100 extract preparations of Chinese herbal medicine (20 prescriptions, 5 brands of each) were determined according to the extract determing method discribed in Ch P Ⅲ. The results show that the extract content is related to the prescription. Generally different brands of the same prescription have the extract content within ±5% of average value. Allthough untill now no evidence have show the relation between pharmacological activity and extract content, for better quality control to define the up and low limit for extract content of each product is suggested.
