綠蘆筍台南4號之育成
Breeding of a New Green Asparagus Variety "Tainan No. 4"

Tainan No. 4 is the first single cross variety which released in Taiwan. Its original code was C-19 in yield test and performed high shoot yield and good eating quality in the several trials; finally it was released in 2004 by Tainan DARES. Tainan No. 4 has strong vigorous plant and high spear yield, its spear has low crude fiber content, good appearance, eating quality and long sell-life in cooling storage condition.
