原住民狩獵文化與動物解放運動可能結盟嗎？－一個土地倫理學的觀點

在台灣，原住民狩獵文化與動物解放一直是兩個看似互相對立的觀點，本文分別從兩個方向：即，（1）生態與動物解放連動在台灣展開的歷史脈絡；與（2）西方環境倫理與動物解放論述的辯證發展過程，指出兩者的確有結盟的可能性。首先，本文闡述了原住民狩獵的議題以及動物解放的主張如何從八Ｏ年代中期，被不同的行動者，包括保育人士、原住民族運動者、以及佛教動物解放團體，凸顯在社會政策的輿論中。更重要的是，在這個過程中，原住民狩獵文化是如何與動物解放主張在意識型態上對立起來。其次，本文透過環境哲學家J. B. Callicott在環境倫理學界所引發「動物解放究竟是否為環境倫理？」的論戰過程，萃取出該論戰可資鬆脫當前台灣原住民將獵與動物解放緊張困境的精華。其中，最主要的原因來自於Callicott畢生鑽研，且奠基在美國的野生動物學者阿道．理奧波的土地倫理觀，跟台灣的原住民狩獵、動物解放、以及自然保育論述皆有共通之處。
