本文探討近年來臺灣青年在澳洲打工度假的勞動經驗，首先強調應將澳洲打工度假視為具有勞動調節功能的制度，關注此打工度假制度所生產的跨國勞動，研究視角不在於打工度假者多數時間用在勞動工作是否「扭曲」制度本意，而要問打工度假者如何運用打工度假此一制度，並正視參與者的跨國勞動經驗。本研究透過深度訪談25 位澳洲打工度假的臺灣青年，不同於先前的研究，本研究多數受訪者曾取得第二年打工度假簽證，用以瞭解他們打工度假中的勞動經驗與如何累積二簽資格的「集點遊戲」。其次本研究探討打工度假者的勞動與體驗，是如何透過跨國的空間與暫時的時間而生產，同時也指出打工度假者在跨國薪資差異與有限的時間內產生「拚命賺」的集體意識，並認為瞭解打工度假者的勞動，將有助於認識暫時遷移勞動的不同面向。

This study examines the phenomenon of Taiwanese working holidaymakers in Australia. It regards Australia's working holidays as an institution tasked with the regulation of labor. This analysis focuses particularly on the significance of the role of work in the experience of Taiwanese working holidaymakers in Australia. Drawing on evidence collected via interviews with 25 working holidaymakers indicates that most interviewees obtained a second working holiday visa. This paper emphasizes working holidaymakers' practices, and explores how and why they use this period, as well as the effects of the working holiday institution on their working experience in Australia. The article sheds light on the transnational and temporary labor dimensions of such working holidays, and questions how the experience is articulated through notions of transnational space and impermanence. The research examines the labor experience of temporary migrants - Taiwanese working holidaymakers - and focuses on why and how they apply for and obtain second working holiday visas. The paper also analyzes the collective atmosphere that drives working holidaymakers to work hard and raise their earnings. Additionally, this study provides a reflection on working holidaymakers as a source of temporary labor. This paper also contributes to an examination of how to improve understanding of working holidaymakers based on analysis of temporary labor migrants.
