Chinese Abstract |
Aim To detect the peripheral venous blood' concentration of IL-18 in patients with UA and SA and evaluate it's correlation with angina pectoris patients' left ventricular ejection fraction. Methods Eighty hosipitalized patients were enrolled in this research since 2002.12 to 2004.01. Forty cases were UA, twenty cases were SA, twenty cases were normal controls. All patients were performed coronary artery angiography and Doppler echocardiography. IL-18 was measured with ELISA methods. Results The concentrations of IL-18 in UA and SA were much higher than controls', but there were no difference between these two. Patients with LVEF<50% had higher IL-18 concentrations than those with LVEF>50%. Conclusion IL-18 was positive correlated to coronary artery diseases, but no prediction to the stability of AS plaques. And it was nagtive correlated to Left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF). So IL-18 had important values in prodiction of angina pectoris. |
