摘要

電腦多媒體的應用日漸普遍。本文分別以電腦科技在硬體以及軟體方面的發展探討其迅速發展的原因。硬體技術的進步，包括功能不斷提升、價格不斷下降、周邊設備的整合、網路的應用等。這些進步成就了圖像作業的軟體環境，其優點包括符合人類的認知結構、使用者親切的觀念、以及整合性的使用環境等。而本文最重要的是在敘述電腦科技軟硬體的進步付予多媒體的獨特功能：超尋找、互動、以及適性。

Recently, computer technology has been widely employed for multi-media production. This pa-per discusses the fast development of computer technologies, on both hardware and software, which heavily influence the shifts of ideas on multi-media message design. Hardware development includes the continuous growths of powerful functions and decreases of prices on PC, the achievements on an integrated multi-media environment, and the applications on various computer networks. Software Development mainly refers to the advancement of an integrated, iconic operating system, which pro-vides an user-friendly working environment, therefore better fits human's cognitive structure. The most important part of this paper is to discuss three unique attributes of computerized multi-media: the ability of hyper search, the ability of interaction, and adaptability.
