摘要

臺北市立圖書館與溫哥華公共圖書館的館際合作，以正式圖書交換關係之建立為始，應屬國內公共圖書館之首創。此項圖書交換，除有城市交流的重要象徵意義外，更能凸顯公共圖書館為了讓顧客獲得更好的服務，透過國際合作關係蒐集資料所作的努力。本文詳細記錄交流過程，除此之外，整理參訪該館所見所聞及該館所提供資料，對該館組織、館藏設備、服務特色及經營策略加以介紹，以供國內同道參考。
