Chinese Abstract

本實驗之目的是探討飲食中添加紅麴粉末對倉鼠肝臟coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10)、維生素E及血漿低密度脂蛋白脂肪酸的影響。四週大雄性倉鼠(Syrian hamsters)72隻,預養四週,使其適應環境且體重達110g,隨機分為6組,飼料以AIN-76為主添加黃豆油、膽固醇使其最終組成比例分別為8%和0.1%,並以此為基本飼料組(控制組,C組),基本飼料再分別單獨添加紅麴粉末低劑量組(0.5%;L組)和高劑量(4%;H組);其餘三組其飼料組成除添加不同劑量紅麴粉末外,再分別添加0.3%維生素E(α-tocopherol)視為CE、LE、HE組。四週後犧牲,分析血漿膽固醇、三酸甘油酯、血漿脂質過氧化物(malondialdehyde;MDA)、維生素E和肝臟脂質、CoQ10及維生素E。結果顯示,紅麴粉末能有效降低倉鼠血漿膽固醇、低/高密度脂蛋白膽固醇比值、三酸甘油酯、肝臟總膽固醇及三酸甘油酯濃度。紅麴粉末也明顯降低,低密度脂蛋白中亞麻油酸/花生四烯酸及PUFA/MUFA之比值。紅麴粉末雖然明顯降低血中維生素E的含量,但維生素E/LDL-C比值及肝臟中維生素E濃度卻增加,但紅麴粉末並沒有明顯降低血中MDA的含量。紅麴粉末明顯降低倉鼠肝臟泛?之濃度,但CoQ10/膽固醇比值升高。綜合上述,紅麴粉末對生物體內抗氧化能力影響是多方面的,紅麴粉末雖然減少體內CoQ10、維生素E含量,但裡於同時降低體內膽固醇含量,間接影響個體血漿氧化壓力。

English Abstract

The aim of this study was to assess the effect of the Monascus rice powder on coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10), vitamin E, and plasma low-density lipoprotein (LDL) fatty acid profiles in male hamsters. Seventy-two male hamsters (110 g) were divided into six treatment groups (C, control diet; L, low-dose 0.5% Monascus rice powder diet; H, high-dose 4% Monascus rice powder diet; CUE, LE, and HE, are the C, L, and H group each with the addition of 0.3% vitamin E). After a 4-week experimental period, blood and liver samples were taken for cholesterol, triglycerides, malondialdehyde (MDA), vitamin E, and CoQ10 analysis. Results indicated that Monascus rice powder could significantly lower plasma cholesterol level, the LDL-C/HDL-C ratio, and plasma triglyceride, hepatic total cholesterol, and triglyceride levels. In addition, Monascus rice powder also decreased both the linoleic acid/arachidonic acid and PUFA/MUFA ratios in the low-ensity lipoprotein. However, Monascus rice powder reduced the plasma vitamin E content, the vitamin E/LDL-C ratio but hepatic vitamin E significantly increased. Vitamin E but not Monascus rice powder inhibited hepatic MDA production. The content of hamster hepatic CoQ10 significantly decreased with Monascus rice powder, whereas the CoQ10/cholesterol ratio increased. In summary, the antioxidative effect of Monascus rice powder was affected by many factors. Monascus rice powder not only decreased the hepatic levels of CoQ10 and vitamin E but decreased the cholesterol content simultaneously, with the result that it had no effect on antioxidative activity.
