This article firstly attempts to define leisure and leisure education so that the introduction of its idea will not be confused and misunderstood. Secondly, the connotation of leisure education is explored so as to provide scope for implementation of leisure education. Then the functions of leisure education are illustrated as follows: (1) social function; (2) economical function; (3) family function; and (4) individual function in order to offer basis to execution of the practice of leisure education. Finally, I indicate the implementing approaches of leisure education so as to realize the institution, place, and time of implementation, the subjects of instruction, and the contents of curriculum. Hopefully, the aim of leisure education would be carried out.
