台灣地區上市櫃建設公司純粹管理效率評估：四階段資料包絡分析法之應用

摘要

有鑑於對建設公司純粹管理效率評估的必要性，本文採用四階段資料包絡分析模式，排除經營環境變數的影響之後，估算上市櫃建設公司的純粹管理效率。研究結果發現，2003年臺灣地區28家上市櫃建設公司全體效率平均值為0.894，其資源的使用狀況仍有10.4%的改善空間。其次，「北部地區」對於臺灣地區建設公司而言為不利的經營環境，而「上櫃市場」對於臺灣地區建設公司為有利的經營環境，然排除經營環境的影響之後，發現不同推案區域及於不同市場交易的建設公司，其純粹管理效率不再具有顯著的差異，亦即資源利用的效率並無不同。

Based on the necessity to measure the pure managerial efficiency of construction companies, this paper applies the four-stage DEA procedure to calculate pure managerial efficiency of construction companies in Taiwan in 2003. The main empirical findings include: (1) the average efficiency score of the construction companies is about 0.894. (2) ”northern parts of Taiwan” is an unfavorable operating environment, ”OTC market” is favorable one, (3) after purging away the effect of operating environments, there is no significance in pure managerial efficiency due to differences in location characteristics, and the pure managerial efficiency of OTC market companies is no longer more efficient than listed companies.
