The phylogenetic relationships of main lineages of class Gastropoda (Phylum mollusca) were reevaluated by comparing partial 28S rRNA sequences. Phylogenetic analyses were performed using the neighbor-joining (NJ) and maximum parsimony (MP) methods. Our results are mostly in congruent with those previously obtained by former researcher on the preliminary analyses of complete 18S, partial 28S and mitochondrial 16S rRNA sequences, such as that the previously suggested basal position of Archaegastropoda in the gastropoda, the monophyly of both Caenogastropoda (Mesogastropoda and Neogastropoda) and Euthyneura (Opisthobranchia and Pulmonata), the polyphyly of Pulmonata and Opisthobranchia, etc. But for Archaegastropoda, their different monophyletic and paraphyletic entities are shown in NJ and MP analyses in this study, respectively.
