The effect of additives Al2O3 and TiO2 on the charge-discharge behavior of the zinc electrodes were investigated. Scanning electron micrograph (SEM) was employed to study the change in morphology. The Cyclic Voltametry test, zinc self-corrosion test and electrochemical characteristics were established. From the electrochemical investigations, various charge-discharge curves at different experimental conditions were obtained. Results indicated that the zinc electrode added with 17wt.% Al2O3 exhibits about 45 times cycle life, while the zinc electrode added with 25wt.% TiO2 exhibits more than 90 times cycle life.
