The best edition of Suwen(素問)is known as Gu Cong-De edition(顧從德版)in Ming Dynasty, the most widespread one in the world, which is carved based on the edition in Song Dynasty. According to the book "Ancient Classics and Literature Visit Record" (經籍訪古志), there used to be a great edition, carved by an anonymous in Ming Dynasty(明無名氏), is better than Gu Cong-De edition. However, it seems to be lost now. To survey the rare medical books owned by National Palace Museum, we found that most of them are originated from the collection of Yang Shou-Jing(楊守敬), who bought these treasures from Japan in Qing Dynasty. One of the collection is the An-Zheng edition (安政本), and we believe that it has a close relationship to the anonymous edition. This research aims to explore the origin of An Zheng edition, so as to manifest its characteristics and value.
