Meningioma is a challenging diagnosis for clinicians, since it can originate in various sites and manifest with vague features such as dizziness or headache. This paper describes experiences with meningioma diagnoses in patients with dizziness or headaches. Five patients with suspected meningioma had the diagnosis confirmed by MRI, which identified two frontal lobe meningiomas, two parietal lobe meningiomas, and one cerebellopontine angle meningioma. Four patients were diagnosed after treatment failure with anti-vertigo medication, and the remaining diagnosis was incidental. All patients underwent surgery and the radiological diagnoses were confirmed histopathologically. Patients with persisting, unexplained headache or dizziness despite trialling medication over the course of a month should be scheduled for MRI examination to exclude meningioma or other intracranial tumors.
