民國九十年度中國時報及聯合報自殺新聞報導之內容分析

摘要

本研究以民國九十年整年度國內著名的兩大報（中國時報與聯合報之高屏澎地區版）所報導的自殺新聞為內容分析之材料，以瞭解其現象與隱含的問題與啟示。在所蒐集的276件報導中歸納發現：一、男性自殺死亡率高於女性；二、「25-44歲組」的自殺新聞最多；三、報導的自殺率最高之月份為二月；最低是十一月；四、報導的原因以「不詳」最多、再次為「學校與社會適應困難」、「家庭因素」、「疾病」等；年齡層不同，其自殺原因也不同；五、跳樓為最常被報導的自殺方式，男性採取上吊、跳樓的自殺方式為多；女性以跳樓、投河、服藥為多；六、報導的職業以「不詳」為多、次為無（失）業、學生、服務業、軍人；七、結伴自殺中，以男性「攜子女自殺」、「殺人後自殺」為多。根據分析結果，提出對家庭、學校、社會的建議等數項。

The purpose of this study is to analyze any suicidal reports on two famous newspapers during 2001 in Taiwan, R. O. C. We reviewed the suicidal reports during 2001 in two newspapers, and got 273 suicidal articles. Content-analysis method is used and the findings are as follows:
1. The vital suicidal rate of males is higher than that of females.
2. The group of age 25-44 committing suicide is reported most frequently.
3. Suicidal reports are found most frequently in February and April; November and December are the least.
4. The reasons reported to commit suicide are “unknown,” “adjustment difficulties,” “family problems,” and “illness.”
5. Hanging and jumping are used frequently by males; however, females like to choose jumping and taking poisonous medicine.
6. The occupations reported of the suicidal events are “unknown,” “no job,” “student,” “service,” and “soldier.”
7. Males are reported “committing suicide with kids” and ”killing others and then committing suicide” more frequently than females.
