新移民女性家庭學前兒童心智能力之學習潛能評估研究

A Study of the Learning Potential Assessment of Mental Ability for Preschool Children with Immigrant Mothers from South East Asia

摘要


本研究目的在評量與提昇新移民女性家庭幼兒的心智能力,並診斷與引導認知功能的發展,同時與本國籍女性家庭幼兒進行比較。以57位母親為東南亞籍、60位母親為本國籍的大班幼兒為對象,採用研究者(2006)研發「兒童歸納推理學習潛能評估系統」進行動態評量,實驗組接受分類、系列完成或類比推理模組,評估程序為「前測-中介學習-後測」,前後測實施「兒童歸納推理測驗」和「綜合性非語文智力測驗」,中介學習為半標準化的介入活動,並配合「認知功能評量表」診斷。控制組僅實施前後測。研究發現:1.兩類幼兒的系列完成能力沒有差異,但新移民女性家庭幼兒的分類能力明顯落後於本國籍女性家庭幼兒,類比推理能力則稍落後。2.三個模組能提昇兩類幼兒的分類、系列完成或類比推理能力,僅新移民女性家庭幼兒在「綜合性非語文智力測驗」的類比推理能力之改變效果有限。3在中介學習歷程中,兩類幼兒的認知功能逐漸發展,其中新移民女性家庭幼兒的核心功能、認知概念、語言理解經引導進步幅度較大,漸與本國籍女性家庭幼兒趨近,但映射、後設認知、語言表達等功能仍較落後。

The purpose of the study was to evaluate and modify mental ability of children with immigrant mothers and children with native mothers. The Learning Potential Assessment Package of Inductive Reasoning for Children (Jiang, 2006) was used. The experiment groups received one module of dynamic assessment. The Inductive Reasoning Test for Children, CTONI was conducted as pretest and posttest. In the stage of mediated learning, the semi-standardized intervention was applied. The control groups only received pretest and posttest. The results of this study indicated (1) the classification, analogy reasoning ability of children with native mothers were better than those of children with immigrant mothers. (2) The learning potential assessment effectively promoted reasoning ability of both children, but children with immigrant mothers had limited effects of analogy reasoning on CTONI. And (3) during the process of mediated learning, the cognitive function of both children could gradually develop. However, children with immigrant mothers, under guidance, had their core function, cognitive concepts, and verbal comprehension gradually approximate to those of the children with native mothers.
