以鈣離子吸附之陽離子交換樹脂層析分離糖蜜色素與糖分

Separation of Pigment and Sugar in Molasses by Chromotography Using Calcium Form Cation Exchange Resin

摘要


本研究選用不同陽離子交換樹脂以鈣離子吸附其上,藉鈣離子與糖分子及色素分子間不同之作用力,達到分離糖分與焦糖色素之目的。不但可解決以糖蜜為碳源發酵之廢水問題,亦可增加糖蜜之經濟價值。研究結果顯示,以多孔性50W-X8型樹脂之分離效果較佳,糖蜜進料體積量7.5mL、pH4.0,糖蜜與去離子水混合比為1:1、流速1mL/min時,具最好的色素與糖分之分離效果。本研究所使用之120cm長,1.8cm內徑之層析管柱,依上述操作條件,色素回收率可達61%,而糖分回收率為78%。

Molasses contains high concentrations of caramelization pigment and sugars. This research studied the use of different types of cation exchange resins saturated with calcium ion, to separate the brown pigment and the sugars. The separation was achieved by utilizing different interactions between sugar molecules, pigment and immobilized calcium ion. Result shows that porous 50W-X8 resin demonstrated the best separation effect. Pretreatment involved acidification with sulfuric acid, 1:1 dilution with water followed by centrifugation. For a resin bed of 120 cm in length, 61% of the pigment was recovered and the recovery of sugar was 78%. Best separation conditions were pH4, 1 mL/min flow rate (column diameter was 1.8 cm) and a loading of 7.5 mL.
