近年來,硼中子捕捉治療之研究傾向於採用超熱中子束以避免切開頭蓋骨之手術及進行較深層之腫瘤治療。本文將介紹世界各國在設計建造超熱中子照射管之現況,以及目前在國內清華水池式反應器建造超熱中子照射管之進展及計劃。

English Abstract

In recent years, study of boron neutron capture therapy has been aimed at the establishment of epithermal neutron beams in order to avoid the open-skull surgury and for the treatment of deep-seated tumors. In this article, the current status of epithermal neutron beams in the world is reviewed and also the design and construction plan of the epithermal neutron beam at the Tsing Hua Open-pool Reactor is reported.
