規律從事身體活動對人體健康有許多好處,然而,從許多國內或國外的大型研究調查中發現,一般民眾規律從事身體活動的比例並不高。本文以加拿大運動心理學學者Vallerand的內外動機階層模式(hierarchical model of intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, HMIEM)爲論述核心,說明它的意義、概念和應用,以期和國內體育與運動科學界同好分享,一方面增進我國在這方面的研究,一方面提昇國民參與運動動機。
