本研究於科技競賽活動中探討國中學生與高中學生所展現的參賽表現與問題解決能力之差異,並透過學生活動學習單、作品與研究者於現場的觀察進行分析,從中歸納出影響問題解決能力與參賽表現之可能因素。研究結果發現,國中組學生與高中組學生之問題解決能力分數、材料適切性分數、造型獨特性分數,以及構造特殊性分數均達顯著差異,而思維多樣性分數則未達顯著差異。本研究根據學生製作歷程進行分析,歸納出幾點結論如下:一、技術能力為影響國、高中學生參賽表現與問題解決能力的重要因素;二、分析問題能力亦為影響問題解決能力的重要因素,且有高中組優於國中組之傾向;三、國、高中學生在面對問題時,似有使用類比推理思考的傾向。根據上述研究結論,本研究亦針對生活科技教師提出具體建議。
This study was intended to explore the differences of problem-solving ability and performance between junior and senior high school students in technology competition. This study summarized the factors which impact students' problem-solving ability and performance through the evaluation of students' worksheets, models made and observations during competition. This study concluded that junior high school and senior high school students' problem-solving ability, utilizing material, modeling product and constructing product were significant different, but the diverse thinking were not. According to the analysis of students' works, this study concluded that: (1) technical capability was an important factor to influence high-school students' problem-solving ability and performance, (2) problem analysis ability was an important factor to influence high-school students' problem-solving ability, and senior high school students were better than junior high school students, (3) high-school students tended to use analogical reasoning ability. According to the above conclusions, some suggestions were proposed for technology teachers.
