新竹市樹林頭民間信仰「巡營遶境」儀式的空間解讀：以神聖空間中的空間記憶關係建構為視角

摘要

空間記憶是多面向的問題，神聖空間中的空間記憶更是本文所探究的焦點，樹林頭的歷史地位，是需要透過儀式所塑造的，從「巡營遶境」儀式中的空間記憶的角度，探討新竹市樹林頭舉行的傳統聚落、儀式，進而分析該儀式在空間記中的文化意涵。神聖空間中透過儀式由俗轉聖，而傳統聚落的神聖空間是透過內外的概念建構出的，使當地居民產生的集體記憶與空間記憶，而這樣的空間記憶也協助樹林頭住民的記憶與空間建構。以大社會的集體記憶對小社會的集體記憶的相互影響，並對民間信仰對於「風水概念」的空間觀，並輔以鄭志明「天地人鬼神」的五位一體與艾良德的神聖空間，以大社會的民間信仰祭祀、空間記憶，解釋新竹市樹林頭民間信仰的空間概念與空間記憶，提出以感官空間的概念增加「空間記憶」的論述不足，並增加空間記憶對神聖空間、儀式的作用，以新竹市樹林頭「巡營遶境」儀式的空間概念、神聖符號、空間、寺廟經營與血緣、地緣關係的空間記憶建構，傳統民間信仰是地方傳統，帶有深刻的地域性與空間記憶，也是集體記憶建構，它將人們與地方結合，成為人們對自我、地域、身份的記憶與表達，也是形成空間記憶的概念雛型，基於長期聚居形成的小社會民間信仰，儀式空間有著血緣與地緣關係的內涵，從血緣為主的宗族聚居地的空間記憶，到地緣關係的祭祀空間記憶並不相同，這其中必有其轉變並構建的過程，同時在地方傳統構建，並與大社會的空間傳統互動，成為神聖空間中空間記憶關係構建的基礎。
