摘要
二０００年四月，全球最大的英語為第二或外國語文教學之教師組織，在加拿大溫哥華舉行年會。中華民國中國文化大學英文系教師胡迪，參與該會發表論文，並為上述組織中影片教學組之成員。本篇一部份是呈給中華民國國家科學委員會之報告，一部份為「華岡英語教學學報」之論文，主要探討影片作為教學之教材與教法的新方向。

In April 2000, the world's largest professional organization for teachers of English as a second or foreign language, TESOL, held its annual meeting in Vancouver, BC, Canada. Chinese Culture University instructor Timothy Fox attended the conference s a presenter, and as a member of the organization's Video Interest Section. His report, written in part for submission to the Republic of China's National Science Council, is offered here as part of the Hwa Kang Journal of TEFL's special focus on new directions in teaching methods and materials.
