臺灣生命教育的挑戰與願景

Challenges and Visions-Life Education in Taiwan

摘要


臺灣生命教育推動十二年以來,有許多進展,但也一直面對許多困難。最重要的進展是高中有了生命教育選修課,而且,從民國99年起,所有高中生都必選一個學分的生命教育課程。此外,大專院校也開始重視生命教育,人們意識到,大專通識教育應以生命的喚醒為其核心價值。 本文之作在於檢視與反省生命教育所面對的各種內外挑戰,並勾勒出未來發展的願景。文分三部分,首先說明我所謂的生命教育是什麼。接下來則針對生命教育所面對的各種挑戰,進行討論與回應。最後,針對生命教育的發展願景,提出幾點看法作為結論。

Though facing many difficulties, life education has been developed and promoted for 12 years with a lot of achievements. Most importantly, it has been, as a group of eight optional courses, introduced into the curriculum system of senior high schools in Taiwan, and starting from the year of 2010, every senior high school student will be required to select a one-credit course from the group. Secondly, colleges and universities have begun to pay attention to the concept of life education. It is believed that the awareness of basic questions in our life should be the core value of general education. The aim of this article is to investigate and reflect upon the challenges with which life education is confronted. On the basis of this reflection, the future of life education is envisioned. There are three parts of the article. In the first part, I explain what I mean by life education. In the second part, different challenges that life education faces are discussed. The article is concluded with my vision of the development of life education in the future.
