This article tries to examine the local cultural identity by using cultural studies concepts such as flow, off-ground, transgressions and to be grounded. This study seeks to reconstruct the subjectivity of the local culture and locality, and reflects on the context of contemporary local culture and local development strategy through the application of place theory. The purpose is to establish a localization discourse of Rainbow Culture with plural sense of place. This article explores the place in the process of globalization from the deconstruction perspectives of post-colonialism in the hope of transcending the Western style of narrative subject. Finally, my construction of localization discourse with self-subjectivity in this article could also inform and have implications for future localization discourses in Taiwan society.
