A Study on Wariness Feedback of Pedestrian

Traffic line often ignored the pedestrian considerations. The behaviors and need of pedestrian in different situations were studied by questionnaire and observation. Anxiety during crossing in traffic peak time and nighttime is higher than normal. The sound warning and timer during crossing are helpful to reduce anxious. Two set of experiments were conducted to find how to caution walkers and drivers to enhance security. The sound and light effect were studied by experimental approaches to find out suitable parameters. The high frequency wavelet has higher wariness. The flashing period is inversely proportion to people's wariness. By using suitable warning feedback can help pedestrians to avoid possible accident caused by the high-speed vehicle.
