運動報導中性別意識呈現之探討

在西風東漸及晚近社會的變遷下，西方女性主義的思潮及女性意識的提升對台灣社會亦不陌生，此方面的論述更可見諸於體育相關學科，如：運動媒體、運動醫學、體育教育、體育機構等等。雖然在今天的體育運動領域中，幾乎各種正式比賽項目都有女性參賽的機會，但社會大眾對其的重視性，媒體的報導呈現的角度等方面，有時卻還是無法擺脫傳統的陰影。在運動媒體方面，媒體分析者就發現媒體在報導體育運動的質與量上有「重男輕女」的現象，並指出這種現象不僅影響女性體育長遠的發展，更間接影響運動界中性別意識的製造與再製造。因此，媒體如何改進現有現象，及如何扮演其角色來促進社會大眾正視女性在運動界的地位，至今還是學界中廣泛討論的話題，本文擬以媒體中對女性運動（員）的相關報導做為主題，以旁徵博引國外論述及引用例證的方式，來探討報導中的數量、形式、角度及其背後所蘊含的意義，希望讀者在看完本文後，能對此議題有初步的瞭解，進而以批判性的角度，檢視體育運動報導中對女性的呈現角度。

With the increasing contact with the West and the progress within society, western feminism and promotion of women's roles are no strangers to contemporary Taiwanese society. Literature on this issue can be seen in many sports disciplines, such as sports media, sports medicine, sports policy, and sports institutions. However, despite the presence of female athletes in almost all kinds of sports, the confirmation from the public and the angle of media coverage are still not very far from the traditional portrayal of women based on gender stereotypes. Media critics point out that there is a trend of marginalization of women's sports in terms of the quantity and quality of media coverage. They argue that this trend has presented a risk in the long-term promotion of women's sports, and also in the production and reproduction of gender ideology within sport. Therefore, how the media can improve in this aspect and play a suitable role in promoting women's sports is still a widely discussed topic within the academic community. Taking examples from both foreign and local contexts, this article will examine the quantity, the form, the angle and the meaning of the coverage of women's sports and female athletes in the in mass media. This article hopes to raise awareness among readers, and enable readers to look at the representation of women's sports and female athletes with a critical mind.
