The Relationship among Chinese Paternalistic Leadership, Emotional Impression and Athletic Burnout

摘要

本研究的目的在瞭解家長式領導、情緒感受以及運動員競技倦怠之關係。以高中甲組運動員為受試對象共201位，平均年齡16.02歲，標準差1.73歲，使用的測量工具包括「家長式領導量表」、「情緒測量」、「運動員競技倦怠量表」。所有資料以皮爾遜積差相關及多元逐步迴歸進行分析。研究結果發現：一、威權領導與正面情緒感受成負相關而與負面情緒感受及競技倦怠成正相關、才德領導以及仁慈領導與運動員競技倦怠成負相關、正面情緒感受與運動員競技倦怠成負相關、負面情緒感受與運動員競技倦怠成正相關。二、負面情緒感受、才德領導以及正面情緒感受可以有效預測運動員競技倦怠。本研究除可作為日後研究家長式領導、情緒感受以及運動員競技倦怠之用外，研究者也建議日後有興趣此一領域者可運用質化分析進一步深化瞭解本研究結果。

The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship among Chinese paternalistic leadership, emotional impression and athletic burnout in high school division I athletes. This study sampled 201 high school athletes (males=115; females=86) with mean age of 16.02(SD=±1.73) and administered a paternalistic leadership scale, an emotional impression scale and an athlete burnout inventory. It was found that authoritarian leadership was positively correlated with the negative impression of emotions and athletic burnout, while moral and benevolent leadership was negatively correlated with athletic burnout. Also, the positive impression of emotions was negatively correlated with athletic burnout, while the negative impression of emotions was positively correlated with athletic burnout. Furthermore, the negative impression of emotions, benevolent leadership and positive impression of emotions predicted athletic burnout. The author suggested that further research adopt the qualitative approach to examine the relationship between paternalistic leadership and the athletic emotional state.
