普羅大眾說出“創造力”的語言及其反映的思維:以2003年台灣20-44歲社群為例

What Do They Say and Think about "Creativity"? A Survey Research on the Language and Thought of the 20-44-Year-Old Public of Taiwan

摘要


本研究透過問卷調查與內容分析法,探討20-44歲台灣普羅大眾說出創造力的語言及其反映的思維、對英美創造力學術社群說出創造力的語言之認同度。結果顯示:(1)學術社群說出創造力存在狀態與特徵的語言獲得20-44歲社群高度認同者不多,僅新奇的、變化的、令人驚喜的、有趣的,以及思考、構想、能力、改變、發現。(2) 對於此社群而言:創造力此一存有對每一個體而言是獨一無二的,是種無限或無形的力量,可以是突發、天馬行空的新點子,可以發生於無、令人感到出乎意料與新奇;創造力還可以是一種相較於眾人或過去有所不同的改變或發明,可以是在生活中那些讓人更便利的東西與事情。(3) 此社群與學術社群思維中的創造力均具有某些現代性旨趣,然而相對於學術社群,其資本主義、菁英主義意味的目的性、價值、社會效益在此社群之創造力圖像中並不明顯,反而對想像、趣味與隨意不拘更為重視,認為此一存有既是突發與也是生活化的。

Creativity facilitation is currently one of the most popular public movements in Taiwan. But, little attention is paid to the fundamental questions: whose creativity is now implemented to the public and, what on earth is the public's creativity? The purpose of this paper is to survey and analyze (1) the agreement level of the 20-44-year-old public of Taiwan toward the English academic's creativity, and (2) the language expressed by the public and the thought embedded behind. Findings include: (1) Words indicating states and characteristics of the academic's creativity with the 20-44-year-old public's higher level of agreement are not many. (2) As to the 20-44-year-old public, creativity uniqely exists in each individual, appears as a kind of unlimited or incorporeal capability, power, or drive, playacts as a kind of sudden, free, casual or unfastened new thoughts, imaginations or ideas, which are born from, nothing, make ones feel surprised, interested and fresh. Creativity can be a kind of much more different changes or inventions comparing with the others, 'tradition and past. Besides, creativity are the products or things around which help ones' life much more convenient. (3) The main thoughts embedded in the words about creativity of the 20-44-year-old public are different with the academic's which show a deep interest in modernity. On contrast, the 20-44-year-old public especially regard fantasticality, amusement, and ad libitum as important to creativity, which is precipitant, unexpected and exists in the daily life.
