護理主管對護理臨床指導教師角色期待之初探性研究

A Pilot Study on Nursing Supervisors' Expectations toward Nursing Clinical Preceptor's Roles

摘要


本研究目的爲透過護理主管的角度,深入瞭解護理主管對臨床指導教師角色期待。本研究以焦點團體訪談法及個別訪談法進行資料收集,採立意取樣,於北部某區域教學醫院收案,對象爲六位現職護理長執行兩次焦點訪談,以錄音逐字稿收集22,000個字元之訪談資料獲取其主觀經驗。訪談資料以Colaizzi(1978)所建議分析法分析歸納。研究結果涵蓋三個主要範疇:一、獨立的人格;二、教學一致性;三、穩定的人格。研究結果顯出,護理主管們對護理臨床指導教師之角色期待,也反應出,護理臨床指導教師和資深護理人員之間之不同的價值觀及差異。由以上研究結果建議,護理臨床指導教師在護理主管及護理同仁間必須具有以上的角色期待,才能建構出讓能更加期待的『新南丁格爾』。

The purpose of this qualitative study was to explore the expectations toward the role of nursing clinical preceptors through the perspective of nursing supervisors. The researcher collected data through focus group interview method and individual interviews, with purposive sampling. Participants were recruited from a regional teaching hospital in Taipei, Taiwan. Focus group interviews were conducted with 6 current head nurses twice and collected data of almost 22,000 words regarding their subjective experiences. We analyzed these data through the empirical research process suggested by Colaizzi (1978). The study's results covered 3 major categories: (1) independent personality; (2) teaching consistency; and (3) steady character. This study showed the expectations of nursing supervisors toward the roles of nursing clinical preceptors, as well as divergent values and differences between senior nursing staffs and nursing clinical preceptors. From the above results, we suggested that nursing clinical preceptors must fulfill the above 3 expectations from nursing supervisors and nursing staff, in order to produce greater numbers of highly respected ”New Nightingales”.
