曉雲法師教育情懷的開展與映現

The Development and Reflection of Ven. Hiu-wan's Affection of Education

摘要


本文旨在根據曉雲法師相關論著之事例,還原其教育情懷興發、拓展與昇華之過程,以跡尋其「教育與生命結合」的因緣-文中分別以「自幼好學、崇仰師道」、「從人生哲理的探微到棲心於佛陀的聖教」與「從有所爲到無所得」爲子題論述之。復以曉雲法師「尊師重道」、「勤學善教」、「踐行以教育救世之悲願」等行誼,具體映現其教育情懷,以顯彰曉雲法師「學爲人師、行爲世範」的教育家風範,與呆教家「悲天憫人、無我利他」的精神,冀有助鈴當代師道之提振,兼激勵有心繼志者追隨其步履,傳承其以教育救世之願行。

This paper firstly discusses the process of rising, expanding, and subliming of Ven. Hiu-wan's affection of education with the purpose of tracing the causes and wherefores of the unity of education and her life. There are three points stated in detail, which are: (1) The fond of studying and showing respects to teachers since childhood. (2) From the exploring of philosophy to paying homage to Buddhism. (3) From making efforts to no attaining. Secondly, this paper reflects Ven. Hiu-wan's affection of education by depicting her deeds of: (1) Re-specting the teachers and their teachings. (2) Being diligent in studying and skillful in teaching. (3) Carrying out her vow of saving the world by education. These deeds verify Ven. Hiu-wan's spirit of being a model of educator and religious, which could help promote the value of being a paragon teacher and encourage her followers to pass down her educational achievement and efforts.
