The purpose of this article is to describe a nursing experience with a female, 54 years old, end stage renal disease with hemodialysis for 16 years about psychosocial problem. The author assessed the patient's health condition by observation, interview, listening, medical history, hemodialysis sheet, laboratory report of every month, and the Gorden functional health assessment guide, from September 2, 2003 to March 30, 2004. The client had three nursing problem: chronic pain, weariness, and hopelessness. The author used nursing process, the skill of hope establish and life review to assist the patient to forward social activity, set up good support system, improvement of relationship with other persons, and help to adapt to the disease. Finally, to set up the elient, peaceful of soul and face life again.
