Female foreign spouses from Southeast Asia encounter various adaptation issues. Previous research has focused on their employment, education, and parenting aspects. Nevertheless, these studies were mostly confined to particular counties or case studies, but did not analyze nationwide samples. Among these issues, economy is one of the most important, which has a tremendous impact on their life. This study draws on a national representative dataset to understand the employment status and vocational training need for female spouses from Southeast Asia, while controlling for socioeconomic and demographic factors.
