傳統文字在數位媒體上的現況與未來趨勢

文字是人類文明傳承的媒介，經由文字獨特的紀錄與傳達功能，讓歷史與文化得以廣泛傳承。若從美學的觀點來欣賞，尤其是漢文字的字體設計，形態千姿百變，每個字都具有不同的美感，其中又蘊含了先人的造字智慧，是中華文化所特有的傳統資產。然而隨著近代以來科技的突飛猛進與新興媒體的出現，文字造形也面臨前所未有的挑戰。雖然，科技的運用使得文字形體得以更標準化，但從美學的角度來看「標準化」是產生了一致性的美感？還是只是另一種單調乏味的呈現呢？另外，從應用的角度來看，現在街上隨處可見的霓虹燈的招牌、動態跑馬燈，甚至近幾年越來越普及的手機、平板等行動裝置，都使得傳統文字造形在表達呈現上面臨了新的挑戰，如何在新的平台裝置上保留傳統文字的美感，或開創出新的方式都是值得深入加以探究的。最後，對於傳統文字造型在數位媒體的未來趨勢，本文也提出建言。

Or does it just another boring, monotonous beauty. In addition, from the application of fonts today, the neon signs everywhere on the street，the dynamic, scrolling text, and the new mobile phones and tablets, all of them have made the traditional typography face a new challenge. How to beautifully present traditional characters on the new platform device, or create a new ways to show on them is a totally new study field. And finally, the principles that used in the modern western digital typography, whether in the east Chinese characters can also be fits it at all, is worth discussing.
