世界觀、哲學目的論與生命意義之相關研究-以台中市國小教師爲例之研究

The Relationships among World-views, Teleology, and Meaning of Life-An Investigation with a group of Elementary School Teachers from Tai-chung City

摘要


研究者以自編「目的論」量表,來瞭解國小教師所認同之哲學「目的論」。其次,則是希望探討世界觀、目的論與生命意義的關聯情形。研究以台中縣、市的國小教師爲研究對象,發出問卷360份,回收得有效問卷295份,所得資料以SPSS/Window12.0中文版統計套裝軟體進行資料建檔與分拆。所得重要結果如下:一、在「目的論」量表的因素結構上,一共獲得「神聖目的」、「虛無目的」與「人文目的」等的三個向度,其中「人文目的」的得分最高,此結果與當代「人本」的思維相符合。二、經由階層迴歸分析,顯示出真有神聖概念的「神聖目的」分量表對於「生命意義」的解釋力與相關性,都高於世俗導向的世界觀的各個向度,本研究之主要假設得到初步的驗證。

The purpose of this study is to explore the identification with different teleological perspectives of a group of elementary school teachers. In addition, the inter-correlations of world-views, teleological identification, and meaning of life are tested. A scale to assess the three aspects of teleological perspectives was constructed with good construct validity and internal consistency. A questionnaires with three instruments was given to a group of elementary school teachers in Taichung City and County. Among the 360 survey samples we sent out, 295 cases returned valid responses. All the data have been filed and analyzed via SPSS/Window12.0. Important results include: 1. In the aspect of Teleology Scale, they get highest scores in the mean of ”Humanism Purposes”, and the lowest in standardized deviation (SD). It is indicative that the surveyed elementary teachers manifest mainly a propensity to adopt humanism ideology and values. 2. By means of analyzing the hierarchical regression and product-moment correlation, it proves that teleological perspectives predicts a teacher's sense of life meaningfulness even after the variation due to the assessments of world-views is taken into account. In other words, teleological identification helps improve predictions of one's life meaningfulness. The hypothesis of the present study has been supported.
