臺灣特殊教育的麥當勞化

The McDonaldization of Special Education in Taiwan

摘要


本文旨在以社會學觀點探討臺灣特殊教育研究與實務的發展。本文首先分析臺灣特殊教育發展的歷史脈絡。次之,應用美國社會學家George Ritzer麥當勞化理論的四大原則(效率、可計算性、可預測性、受非人性科技的控制)來說明臺灣特殊教育發展的麥當勞化現象。最後,本文主張臺灣的特教發展不論在做法或研究典範上皆應更加解放,並融合更多元的聲音。

This article aimed at exploring the research and practical development in special education from sociological perspectives. First, the author analyzed Taiwan's special education development based on its historical context. Second, the author proposed four principles of McDonaldization (efficiency, calculability, predictability and control through nonhuman technologies) to explain the phenomenon of McDonaldizationin special education in Taiwan. Finally, the author concluded that the implementation and research paradigms in special education should be widely expanded in Taiwan.
