規律從事太極拳或網球運動中老年人的平衡能力差異

The Difference of Balance in Middle-aged and Elderly Men Engaged in Different Exercises Items

摘要


目的:本研究主要探討:規律從事太極拳或網球運動之中老年人,在選定平衡能力測驗中,比較其運動表現是否有所差異。方法:以60名台北市60-69歲健康中老年男性為研究對象,分為太極拳組與網球組各30名。受試者必須進行平衡能力測驗(閉眼單足站立、功能性伸達測驗、8呎起立-走步測驗),各項目二次,取最佳測驗成績作數據分析,以獨立樣本t考驗進行處理,利用SPSS for Windows 10.0統計套裝軟體進行統計分析,顯著水準訂為α=.05。結果:一、在閉眼單足站立方面,太極拳組明顯優於網球組(p<.05);二、在功能性伸達測驗方面,太極拳組明顯優於網球組(p<.05);三、在8呎起立-走步測驗方面,太極拳組與網球組間沒有顯著差異。結論:規律從事太極拳或網球運動均有助於強化下肢肌力,而改善動態平衡能力,如:8呎起立-走步測驗;但因運動的動作型態不同,太極拳組在閉眼單足站立與功能性伸達測驗的運動表現明顯較佳,因此鼓勵中老年人可以選擇太極拳作為規律從事的運動項目,以減少跌倒發生。

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the difference on balance between middle-aged and elderly men regularly engaged in tai chi chuan or tennis exercises. Method: Totally 60 volunteers, aged from 60 to 69 years old, including regular tennis players and tai chi chuan exercise participants, were asked to perform the following tests. These tests included the one-leg stance test with eyes closed, the functional reach test, and the 8-foot up and go test. Two measures were performed and the best score was used for final analysis. SPSS for Windows 10.0 performed statistic analysis with independent t test and the level of the research of significance was set as 0.05. Results: (1) In the one-leg stance test with eyes closed, tai chi chuan group was significantly better than tennis group (p<.05). (2) In the functional reach test, tai chi chuan group was significantly better than tennis group (p<.05). (3) In the 8-foot up and go test, there was no significant difference between tai chi chuan and tennis groups. Conclusion: The middle-aged and elderly men regularly engaged in tai chi chuan or tennis exercises got better lower extremity strength and improved the dynamic balance, such as in the 8-foot up and go test. Because of the difference on exercise modes, tai chi chuan group was significantly better than tennis group in the one-leg stance test with eyes closed and the functional reach test. We hoped the middle-aged and elderly men could regularly participate in tai chi chuan exercise to reduce fall.
