不同低氧暴露時間對體重與葡萄糖耐受度之影響

The Effect of Different Hypoxic Exposure Duration on Body Weight and Glucose Tolerance

摘要


目的:觀察為期一週不同低氧暴露時間對體重與葡萄糖耐受度之影響。方法:18隻雄性SD鼠,在適應一週後,以體重配對的方式將老鼠分成三組,分別為每日低氧暴露一小時組(n=6)、低氧暴露八小時組(n=6)與常氧控制組(n=6)。低氧介入時,使受試動物呼吸於14%氧氣濃度的常壓低氧環境中,最後一次實驗介入結束後十三小時立即實施口服葡萄糖耐受度測驗與手術。結果:一週低氧介入後,八小時低氧暴露組顯著降低體重與腹腔脂肪重,同時也提昇葡萄糖耐受度,但對胰島素反應並不明顯。結論:低氧刺激可增加葡萄糖耐受度,且在減肥層面上可能扮演調節的角色。但此效果可能會受低氧暴露時間長短所影響。

The purpose of this study was to investigated that the effect of different hypoxic exposure duration on body weight and glucose tolerance. Methods: After one week adaptation in our animal resource center, eighteen male SD rats were matched the body weight and assigned into following three treatments: control (n=6), 1-hr hypoxia/day (n=6), and 8-hr hypoxia/day (n=6). All animals in treatment group were exposed to hypoxia for one week. Hypoxic treatment consisted of breathing 14% O2 under normobaric condition. An oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT) was performed 13h after last treatments. After OGTT, all animals were sacrificed to measure abdominal fat weight. Results: After one week intervention, 8-hr hypoxia/day not only significantly improved glucose tolerance but also decreased body weight and abdominal fat weight. Insulin response did not alter. Conclusion: hypoxia exposure improved glucose tolerance and reduced body weight. This result indicated hypoxia maybe an important role in the regulation of level of losses fat. The effect of the improvement maybe associated with the hypoxia duration and period.
