新移民子女文化認同與學校適應關係之研究-以雲林縣就讀國中階段之新移民子女為例

A Study of the Relationship Between Cultural Identification and School Adjustment on Immigrants' Children: As the Examples of Yunlin County junior high school students

摘要


本研究旨在探討新移民子女文化認同與學校適應之現況,並了解兩者之間的關係。為達研究目的,在研究設計上採問卷調查法,由研究者編製「新移民子女文化認同」以及「新移民子女學校適應」兩份問卷,選取雲林縣就讀國中階段之181位新移民子女為研究對象,進行分析。研究結果顯示:1.雲林縣就讀國中階段新移民子女對母親原生國文化之認同情形良好;2.雲林縣就讀國中階段新移民子女在對母親原生國及台灣社會兩種文化的統合上,調適情形良好;3.雲林縣就讀國中階段新移民子女在學校的教師、同儕與課業適應情形良好;4.雲林縣就讀國中階段新移民子女之文化認同各層面與學校適應各層面之間具有密切之正相關。依據上述之研究結果,本研究提出尊重新移民子女對其母親原生國文化之認同、關懷新移民子女對多元文化的統合情形、勿以負面之刻板印象標籤化新移民子女、重視新移民子女文化認同與學校適應兩者之間之正向關聯等幾點省思,供教育行政主管機關及學校教育工作者參考。

The purposes of this study were to understand the cultural identification and school adjustment, and the relationship between them. The method of questionnaire survey was adopted, sampling 181 immigrants' children in Yunlin County junior high school. The questionnaire consisted of two subscales which called Student's Cultural Identification scale and School Adjustment scale. Major conclusions of this study were described as following. 1. For most immigrants' children ,the identification with their mothers' culture is well; 2. For most immigrants' children ,the cultural integration of their mothers' culture and Taiwan culture is well; 3. For most immigrants' children , the school adjustment, including teacher, peer, and learning is well; 4. The relationship of cultural identification and school adjustment on immigrants' children is close positively. Lastly, according to the results above, some suggestions were proposed as following. 1. We must esteem immigrants' children with their mothers' cultural identification. 2. People must concern about immigrants' children with the cultural integration. 3. Please don't be labeled on immigrants' children with the negative stereotypes. 4. People must pay much attention to the relationship of cultural identification and school adjustment on immigrans' children.
