博物館協助中小學推動海洋教育現況初探

A Study of Museum's role in Promoting Marine Education in Elementary and Secondary Schools

摘要


在教育部公布一連串推動海洋教育相關政策後,海洋教育正式納入正規教育的一環。在這片沸沸揚揚的海洋教育推廣聲浪中,究竟中小學海洋教育的內涵與目的為何?博物館如何利用其特色及資源協助中小學推動海洋教育,以達到博物館與學校間的合作,善盡其社會責任?本文擬從國立海洋科技博物館與相關館所的經驗中,歸納出現階段博物館協助中小學推動海洋教育現況,並針對上述問題提出幾點觀察與建議。

Soon after the Ministry of Education announced a series of policies for promoting marine education, the marine related curriculum has become an integral part in formal education. In the wake of promoting marine education, it is imperative to design appropriate contents in the curriculum and to implement instructions in both elementary and secondary schools. This article is to share the past experiences of marine education programs which were drawn from National Museum of Marine Science & Technology and other museums. Based on these prior working experiences, we intend to provide a broad view of museum's role in promoting marine education in elementary and secondary schools and to make a few observations and recommendations.
