The Relationship of Buzzword Search Popularity and World Competitiveness

Today, every economy entity towards a rise in stress importance of world competitiveness is often contemporaneous with an increase in recent trendy buzzword search interest conducted on web search engines. The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between the buzzword search popularity and world economy competitiveness performance. In the more specifically economic context and statistical approach, we examined the possibility of both using the related buzzword web search interest over time from Google Trends and the selected Global Competitiveness Index from annual Global Competitiveness Report of World Economic Forum. In this paper, we obtained meaningful results which both data exhibit significant correlation through experimentation and also assessed with those highly ranked countries. Finally in all cases, our research model yields new directions and adds useful information to verify buzzword search popularity can be an indicator of world competitiveness performance.
