The more the cross-strait relations improve, the more China's favor-granting policies are introduced. However, the benefit from China has increased the distance with people in Taiwan. Does the reason for Taiwanese political identity and self- identity growing further apart is the lack of contact for each other? The study investigated the change of identities of cross-strait station point correspondents, probing into their response for the China's propaganda towards Taiwan. The study conducted the in-depth interviews and the questionnaire survey to analyze the life and the change of identity of correspondents in China. The results point out that by stationing in China, the correspondents can have a deeper understanding toward China and the understanding may reinforce the identification with Taiwan while alienate the identification with China.
