臺北縣市高職學生英文課業求助之研究

A Study on Academic Help-Seeking in English Learning for Students in Vocational High Schools in Taipei City and Taipei County

摘要


本研究旨在瞭解臺北縣市高職學生在英文課業求助對象的選擇與求助類型的情形,並探討各求助對象與各求助類型之相關情形,主要目的如下:1.探討臺北縣市高職學生英文課業求助對象之選擇情形;2.探討臺北縣市高職學生英文課業求助的類型;3.瞭解臺北縣市高職學生英文課業求助對象之選擇與求助類型的關係。 本研究採用問卷調查法,以「高職學生英文課業求助之研究調查問卷」為研究工具,抽取11校,共發出1,320份問卷,回收後扣除無效問卷得有效問卷1,151份。所採用的統計方法有描述統計、卡方檢定、獨立樣本t考驗、單因子變異數分析、點二系列相關等。 經統計分析本研究獲得結論為:1.整體而言,臺北縣市高職學生以學校同學、學校老師及書籍為主要求助對象。2.臺北縣市高職學生之英文課業求助對象因學校地區、學校性質、性別、年級、對英文喜好之不同而略有差異。3.整體而言,臺北縣市高職學生英文課業求助類型主要為工具性求助。4.除年級因素外,臺北縣市高職學生之英文課業求助類型因學校地區、學校性質、性別、年級、對英文喜好之不同而略有差異。5.臺北縣市高職學生英文課業之各求助對象與各求助類型有其相關性。 本研究最後並進一步針對英文教育應用與未來研究分別提出建議。

This study aimed to investigate academic help-seeking helpers, help-seeking types and to explore the relationship between them in English Learning for Students in vocational high schools in Taipei City and Taipei County. The main objectives of this study were to investigate the students’ academic help-seeking helpers in vocational high schools in Taipei City and Taipei County and their differences to different background elements; to investigate the students’ academic help-seeking types in vocational high schools in Taipei City and Taipei County and their differences to different background elements; and to analyze the relationship between English academic help-seeking helpers and help-seeking types. The study used questionnaire survey, which was “the questionnaire of the students’ English academic help-seeking in vocational high schools.” A total of 11 schools, and the subjects were 1,320 vocational high school students sampled from Taipei City and Taipei County. The 1,151 effective questionnaires were collected. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, chi-square, independent samples t-test, and one-way ANOVA, and point-biserial correlation. The major findings of this study are summarized as follows: 1. Classmate, school teacher, books were the three main helper options from vocational high school students’ English academic help-seeking in Taipei City and Taipei County. 2. There were significant differences in helper options from vocational high school students’ English academic help-seeking in Taipei City and Taipei County based on each different element of school area, school attribute, sex, grade, English favor. 3. Instrumental help-seeking was the main type of vocational high school students’ English academic help-seeking in Taipei City and Taipei County. 4. Except for grade, there were significant differences in help-seeking types of vocational high school students’ English academic help-seeking in Taipei City and Taipei County based on each different element of school area, school attribute, sex, English favor. 5. There is correlated to academic help-seeking helpers and help-seeking types in English Learning for Students in vocational high schools in Taipei City and Taipei County. Based on the study, further pedagogical implications for students, teachers, and the educational administration authorities; suggestions for future studies were also provided at the end of the study.
