電子書閱讀介面設計之使用性評估研究-以iPad平板電腦為例

摘要

美國蘋果(Apple)公司的iPad平板電腦為目前全球平板電腦市場使用者之首選，蘋果電腦相關產品的介面設計已普遍流行，iPad的觸控面板有別於其他平板電腦的操作方式，支援多點觸控，並創造出蘋果專屬的以人本心智模式本能手勢操作模式。本研究針對市占率名列前茅的iPad平板電腦之電子書閱讀介面，由專家實際操作與訪談建議，以及22位受測者模擬操作實驗結果，比較分析其閱讀介面的使用性（Usability），依循脈絡找尋出iPad電子書閱讀介面成功模式與改善空間，提升國內使用者對電子書閱讀操作介面績效以及閱讀的樂趣，並提升閱讀平台使用效能，產生對閱讀平台的信任感，減少使用的挫折感，提高整體滿意度，縮短使用者摸索學習時間。本研究結論為獲知影響使用性效能之因素：功能符號階層配置的重要性；直覺性操作流程設計；相似功能類別統一配置；書櫃分類管理績效；圖像符號辨識率，歸納以上研究結果影響之因素的問題與建議，記錄觀察使用者行為操作模式，建置新介面，建構出電子書閱讀介面設計與使用性的依循方針與範本。

iPad, created by Apple, Inc., is one of the leading product of tablet PC in the global market, its interface design is dominated of the kind. The iPad's panel is significant from the other operation models, which is not only the multi-touch is supportive, but also the built-in special gesture operation mode is the exclusive proprietary of creation, which is the core concept operation based on the mental models.
This study is to research ebook reading interface through iPad which is the No.1 market-share product and conduct the comparative analysis of the reading interface usability. Recommended by experts from the actual operation and interviews, as well as 22 measured by simulated operation results and according to the context, the research found a successful model of iPad ebook reader interface and some points for improvement and enhance the domestic user interface performance of ebook reading. Furthermore, this study found some points which are important to enhance the pleasure of reading, use the platform to generate the sense of trust, reduce operation frustration, and shorten the learning time as well.
The conclusions of this research are as follows.
1.The importance of functional symbol allocation.
2.Intuitive operation process design.
3.The unified configuration of similar functions.
4.The management performance of bookshelves classification.
5.The recognition rate of Icon symbol.
Summarized above findings and the record of observed user behaviors, this research proposes a new interface, and constructs ebook reader interface and usability guidelines and templates.
