Abstract The basic concept, design flow-chart and analysis process of Extradosed Bridge are generally introduced at the first part of this thesis. A single-towered extradosed bridge is selected as a study case to investigate the behaviors of this type of bridge. Finally, a summary and recommendation is presented for the following researchers. A software program TANGO based on the Finite Element Method is applied to analyze the Extradosed Bridge under different loading combinations. The results of the analysis including bending moment, axial force, shear force, displacement, cable force of the bridge, and envelope of Influence Line is built up to indicate the stress range of girder. Combined stress and deflection are also checked to ensure the design which meets the requirements of the codes.
