正向情感、性別觀念與多元價值：台灣民眾的分析

Positive Affect, Gender Equality and Multiple Perspectives: A Study of Taiwan Society

摘要

近年來，報章雜誌或新聞媒體，不乏有許多關於個人快樂程度、國人年度幸福感指數或世界各國人民快樂程度比較的相關報導。眾多的報導與研究，經常將焦點放在影響個人快樂或幸福的因素為何。然而，根據近年來正向心理學家的研究顯示，經常擁有正向情感的人有其不同於負面情感的人之人格特質，而這些特質會對其心理與行為造成相當程度的影響。
本研究採用「台灣社會變遷基本調查2012第六期第三次：性別組」的訪問資料進行統計分析。使用STATA運算軟體進行結構方程模式(SEM)之分析，測量個人對於性別平權態度、配偶婚外性關係接受度、同性戀接受度與家庭組成型態多元化觀念…等經常具有爭議性的議題，是否會受個人之快樂特質影響，而有不同的相關結果。經常擁有正向情感的人們是否會以更多元與包容的態度，來看待不同於社會主流價值觀的爭議話題。藉此了解快樂人格特質與價值觀念及社會行為之間的相關因素。
分析結果得出結論：正向情感越高的人，越無法接受配偶婚外性關係的行為，而同性戀與家庭組成型態多元觀念與個人之正向情感之間無直接影響。而正向情感越高的人，其性別角色態度越趨平權，自我調節能力與社會適應能力越佳。最後，對於有哪些未來台灣社會議題與現象，可能會受到個人正向情感的影響，研究者對此提出可供後續研究者參考之建議。

Recently, a growing body of research indicates that people pursue happiness through different paths: pleasure, meaning, wealth, relationships and engagement. Compared with depressed people, happy people have special characteristics and benefits. These cognitive effects of positive affect are considered in the context of effects on social interaction that show that positive affect leads to helping, generosity, and interpersonal understanding.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the correlation between positive affect and social behavior. The data for this research was drawn from the Taiwan Social Change Survey conducted in the year of 2012. The results of the study indicated that happy people displayed less gender stereotype and had a tendency towards gender equality. Furthermore, extramarital affair was not accepted by happy people. However, the homosexual acceptability and the attitude towards the diversification of family structures seemed to be unrelated to happiness. Finally suggestions on the issues of the correlation between positive affect and social behaviors for further research are provided.
