本研究旨在探討現今屏東縣幼兒園教師英語能力需求。針對幼兒園園長、教師與家長三方面實施問卷調查,研究樣本採以隨機抽樣,共計回收68位幼兒園園長、183位幼兒園學生家長,以及282位幼兒園教師之研究資料。本研究目的:(一)瞭解現今幼兒園教師之英語能力現況。(二)探究現今幼兒園教師對於教師同儕間的英語能力需求觀點。(三)從幼兒園園長與幼兒家長觀點探索幼兒園教師英語能力的觀點與看法。(四)綜合幼兒園園長、家長與幼兒園教師三者角度歸納現今幼兒園教師英語能力的需求性與重要性。 本研究透過SPSS12.0 for Windows統計軟體進行結果分析,採以敘述性統計、獨立樣本t檢定與單因子變異數分析等統計分析方法,研究結果如下:(一)目前幼兒園教師對自身的英語能力與信心不足,且對於修習幼兒英語學程、考取英語相關證照和進修英語相關課程較無意向。(二)現今無論在不同性別、資格、班級數量等背景的園長、或是不同填答者與年收入的家長,還是不同性別、職稱和任教年資的幼兒園教師皆表達具備英語能力的幼兒園教師是有其需求性的。(三)幼兒園園長以聘用擁有英語相關證照的幼兒園教師為優先,而家長首擇有修習幼兒英語課程的幼兒園教師,教師認為具備與幼兒用英語互動能力的幼兒園教師最為重要。
The purpose of this research is to study the kindergarten Teachers’ English competency. This study has adopted the method of survey and targeted the kindergarten principals, teachers and parents in Pingtung area as the sample source. The survey used purposive sampling, and there were 3 types of the questionnaires had given to each targets. The questionnaires were returned 75 kindergarten principles, 66 valid; 358 teachers, 282 valid, and 211 parents, 183 valid. The feedbacks were analyzed by using descriptive statistics, independent sample t test, and one way ANOVA with SPSS12.0 for Windows. The purposes of the study include: 1. Understand the current status of the kindergarten Teachers’ English competency in Pingtung. 2. Explore the estimates of the kindergartens and their colleagues for the viewers of kindergarten Teachers’ English competency. 3. Investigate the difference in kindergarten principles and parents’ opinions. 4. Conclude with the perspectives of kindergarten principals, teachers and parents on kindergartens’’ English competency Based on the purposes and questions of this research, the conclusions are indicated as follow: 1. Nowadays, the kindergarten Teachers are diffident about their English competency and teaching skill. Besides, they lack for the intention of English certification, children English education program, and English course. 2. First of all, the kindergarten principles’ background factors which including Gender, Seniority, Rank, and the Number of kindergarten class and teacher of don’t make any difference in the opinions of teachers’ competency. Furthermore, the elements such as “Gender”, “Rank”, and “Seniority” also don’t influence teachers’ outlook on this topic. Lastly, no matter mother or father, the education level, or annual income, parents are unaffected by the elements. 3. Kindergarten principles consider that English certification is the most important capabilities; they will hire the person first. For kindergarten teachers, they think the reaction with children in English is the most significant. Parents focus on the teachers who have Children English program major.
